Parts exchange of inflatable Life Preserver
Our inflatable life preserver can be used repeatedly after the inflation by exchanging spare parts.
Following chart shows what types of spare parts you will need. It will change depending on the gas-inflation system each life preserver has.

◎Instruction
Depending on which condition the life preserver is in, required spare parts will change as follows.

Depending on which condition the life preserver is in, required spare parts will change as follows.
Required spare parts when:
- life preserver is immersed in water and inflated (toggle is UNPULLED)
→ CO2 gas cylinder, Cartridge - life preserver is immersed in water and inflated (toggle is PULLED)
→ CO2 gas cylinder, Cartridge, Seal pin - life preserver is inflated manually and not immersed in water*
→ CO2 gas cylinder, Seal pin
If the unit is immersed in water after the inflation, exchange of Cartridge is also needed
◎Shelf life
CO2 gas cylinder and Cartridge have shelf lives.
Replace CO2 gas cylinder – every 5 years / Cartridge – every 3 years with new item (even if they are unused).
We recommend exchanging with new spare parts every year because they may degrade sooner depending on the storage/usage environments.

The gas-inflation system FAID-1 we provide for FN-70・FN-70S・FN-80・WP-2 is a self-developed product of Fujikura Parachute Co, Ltd
You may find whether the life preserver is used or unused simply by checking the color variation on our new gas-inflation system associated with FN-70・FN-70S・FN-80・WP-2.
